Go Birding
Probably most well known are the Tufted Puffins. Bandon is also one of the premier

Take a hike
There are a few good hikes in the area ranging from brief walks to more ambitious
over night outings. Try Hiking Bandon for some suggestions.
Go Fishing
With the ocean on one side of town and three great rivers near by, fishing is a

Go Crabbing
With a dock dedicated to crabbing and a local business ready to cook your crabs for

Golf
Bandon has become one of the worlds go to destinations for golf and there are
several courses available. For starters try Bandon Crossings , an exceptional
course offering 18 unique experiences.
Visit the West Coast Game Park
America's largest wild animal petting zoo is located just south of Bandon. Game

Take up Windsurfing
Floras Lake has windsurfing and kiteboarding leassons. Floras Lake Resort
Visit the Historical Museum
A small museum but facinating history.
Go Shopping
It's the all American pasttime and Bandon has a charming old town shopping
experieince. For something upscale try Devon's Boutique. More shops are listed at

Fly a Kite
What could be more "coastal" then spending a day on the beach flying a kite. Koffee
and Kites may be the place to start.
Take a walk on the beach
Is there anything more peaceful then walking the beach, listening to the waves and
feeling the sand between your toes. Bandon's beaches are a fabulous place to spend
a day.
Learn to Bead
Beading and other art classes are offered at the Sage Place.
Visit a Lavender Farm
With a store and on site farm, the Lavender Lady is located South of town along
highway 101.
Try your hand at quilting
The best quilt shop on the Oregon Coast, Forget Me Knots offers a full range of
supplies and classes.
Photography
The coastline of Oregon is known for it's stunning scenery. Bandon is one of the best
locations to take pictures of this environment. To see some of the possabilities check

Eat some candy
Saltwater taffy comes to mind when one thinks of the coast. In Bandon we do it
different. We have fabulous fruit pate's and jelly candies at Cranberry Sweets and
fudge to die for at the Fudge Factory. A stop in these two shops and you will think you
have gone to heaven. Yes, you can get taffy as well.
Have Dinner out
From Thai to Mexican to Seafood to Italian, there are numerous great restaurants in
the Bandon area.
Watch for Whales
Grey Whales migrate along the Oregon Coast twice a year. Best seasons for
catching this site are Winter (Late December and Early January) as the Whales
migrate South and Spring (April and May) as they Migrate North. For more

Tour the Coquille Lighthouse
The Coquille Lighthouse is located across the river from the Town and is visible from
town. It is probably the smallest lighthouse you will ever see and is adorable. Images
